Started in 1993 to commemorate the victory of the Swiss boat Alinghi in the America’s Cup Audemars Piguet produced the City of Sails Royal Oak recognizable by its chronograph counter embossed with the team’s logo. It was available in steel (1250 pieces) pink gold (250 pieces) and platinum (50 pieces). This is the first platinum model to be offered at auction by Antiquorum. To the best of our knowledge it is also the first time this model has appeared at auction.
