This minimalist masterpiece by Jaquet Droz is elegant, crisp and demure. The onyx on the dial gives the watch a mysterious and masculine quality and there are also 31 jewels on the dial for a hint of pizazz. It’s a striking and masculine watch with a 24 hours scale on the bezel, handsome dial, polished case with anti-reflective sapphire crystal, date window at 6 o’clock and a pointer for the second time zone which makes it great for frequent travelers. Other highlights include the automatic chronograph with GMT function and caliber C.751 movement. $TBA.
Tag Heuer Men’s Aquaracer Chronograph Black Rubber is a smart and athletic looking watch. It has a 44mm stainless steel case, sapphire crystal and black rubber strap. Outstanding features include the digital time, alarm, countdown, dial lighting, a black second hand, unidirectional bezel and Swiss quartz. $1,600.
The Skeleton Automatic is the latest addition to the Sintra collection by Rado. It’s made of high-tech ceramics and boasts a silken shade of matte black that highlights the golden movements on the dial. It’s a sleek and robust watch but I personally think it’s a bit kitsch and too trendy and not something you can wear beyond one season before it looks dated. $TBA.
The dial is jam-packed on this schnazy Cosmonaute Automatic Chronograph by Breitling. Breitling’s retro line of pilot watches takes on a new twist with this space-themed version. The metal bracelet is like the others in the line but the timepiece itself is one-of-a-kind. The hour hand tells time in a 24-hour format, there are three sub-dials and a touch of red on the seconds’ hand and at 12 o’clock. Only 1,000 pieces available. $6,575.
Saint Honore Haussman Regatta Watch is dubbed to be the sailor’s best friend as it was tested during the last Louis Vuitton Trophy in Nice, France. The watch has an anti-glare sapphire crystal, a timer located in the inner rotating bezel, carbon details, a date window at 12 o’clock and subdial at 6 o’clock.
