The idea behind the Blancpain Speed Command Chronograph Watch is to make us even speedier than we already are in these modern times. Just looking at it makes your eyes blur as if you were watching the traffic speed by on the interstate. The watch comes with a brushed steel case measuring 45 mm wide that is DLC coated and is powered by an ultra-thin self-winding automatic chronograph movement. The rather thin hands are easily visible because of the neon-like Superluminova red hands but when you pair that up with the orange Arabic numerals it gets a bit chaotic to look at. Other features include a bidirectional rotating bezel made of black sapphire, a black checkered carbon fiber dial and it’s water resistant up to 300 meters. $13,650.

So it may have taken them six years to do it, but the Grand Complication 1735 was well worth the wait because it has 740 individual hand-finished components! Two companies striving for beauty and mechanical perfection have teamed up for an event unlike no other. For the first time, supercar manufacturers Lamborghini is organizing a race featuring only the Gallardo LP560-4. The cars will sport the colors and design of Swiss watchmasters Blancpain and to commemorate this event, the Blancpain Super Trofeo Chronograph was released. It will feature a 43.5 mm case inspired by the Gallardo’s aggressive design. Made of steel with diamond-like carbon treatment, the case is tougher than PVD and will be hypoallergenic, perfect for those with sensitive skin. Movement comes from Blancpain’s own Calibre F185, with the movement bridges and main plate blackened to increase the longevity of the watch as well as give a mysterious look. On the face are the hour, minute, and small seconds chronograph with the 9 and 12 o’clock markers sporting the same numbers painted on the racing Gallardos. Only 300 of these mechanical bulls will be made. $TBA.
