Peugeot’s SR1 Concept Car has inspired them to seek out the help of Bell & Ross to create this watch to match and help promote the car. This is getting us really excited to see the car itself, because if the watch looks this good then the car has to be great.
The Sea Quest Chronograph by Buler is another fine timepiece to look for at Baselworld 2010. With silver or black dial options the case measures 43mm and has a sapphire crystal. In addition, the chronograph has a Swiss quartz Ronda caliber Startech movement, a seconds counter, 30-minute counter, a 12-hour counter as well as a water resistance of 200 meters and calendar window at 4 o’clock. $TBA.
Ancient Chinese culture has inspired Ernst Benz to make the ChronoScope PEK. (PEK representing Beijing, or the old Peking.) The limited edition watch has a 47mm wide case and the dial is available in noir (black) or vermilion (red). 88 pieces of each color are to be made and an even more limited edition will be available of only 8 pieces in black PVD coated brushed steel. The dial has the Chinese pattern for fire and of course the numerals are Chinese characters. Notice the 8th hour marker is a different color. So why is the number 8 the theme in this watch? According to Chinese numerology, the number 8 brings wealth and prosperity. $TBA.
The GrandCliff TNT Penta is a real beauty for Baselworld 2010. It’s a flyback chronograph featuring a symphony of five discs, a gorgeous 45.5 mm pink gold-steel-titanium combination case and only 21 pieces are going to be made. The chronograph has 60-minute and 12-hour counters and the five discs include two for the date and three for the times. Pierre DeRoche had huge success at Baselworld 2009 with the TNT Royal Retro so the bigger and better GrandCliff TNT Penta will surely make a good impression. $TBA.
