Omega Speedmaster Pro

On the 40th anniversary of the first moon landing, Omega will issue a watch that marked a very significant milestone in human history. The Omega Speedmaster Professional Moonwatch looks and feels like the one that the Apollo 11 crew brought to the moon where Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin walked for the first time in man’s history. It has a 42 mm case that protects the Omega 1861 self-winding, automatic movement that’s been proven both tough and resilient given the conditions in outer space. The Speedmaster was also the only working instrument that the ill-fated Apollo 13 crew had on board, so reliability is a non-issue. This special edition will be stamped with the official time of the first lunar landing and only 7,969 very special pieces will be made. A mission patch is also depicted on the 9 o’clock sub-dial. That’s one small step for man, one giant leap in watch style and class. TBA.
