Omega ProPlof Reissue
For the man who allowed human beings to breath underwater, he required a watch who could keep up to immense pressures and prolonged underwater exposure. Omega worked with Jacques Cousteau in developing the ProPlof (Prolongeur Professional) in the 70′s and it took four years of development. It was ground-breaking in its release and with this reissue, the performance just got better. The same, imposing one-piece stainless steel case still protects the workings of the watch. The water resistance is doubled in the new ProPlof, from 600 meters to 1200. Movement is an in-house co-axial Caliber 8500 and the coaxial movement means better accuracy, reliability, and longer times in-between watch servicing. The sapphire bezel is protected by a safety lock so no accidental bezel movements and resetting of dive times. A shark-proof bracelet, just like the ones that Cousteau wore will adorn the new ProPlof, but we don’t recommend using your watch as bait. $7,700.

Hard to read a review where the topics name is wrong, it’s a bloody PloProf, not ProPlof, not sure why it is wrong in so many places, I’m guessing that it started with either the Chinese replica site getting it wrong, or dumb english speaking people who thought “Pro” was important…..it is, the Pro is short for Professional, and the Plo is short for plongeur, which mean waterproof, why are the two back to front on their correct spelling? Because most french is said in reverse for us, but is not obviously to them. we would say a cheese cracker, theirs would sound like a cracker of the cheese…hope that makes sense.
