Hublot Gold King Power

Reminiscent of the first Hublot watches where they fused rubber and gold, the new Gold King Power is the modern mixture of these tried and tested materials. Just when you thought that gold couldn’t get any better, Hublot creates “King Gold”, a red gold alloy that’s supposedly tougher than ordinary gold. This new material is used for the 48 mm “King Power” case of this foudroyante chronograph. Movement is a self-winding mechanical HUB 4144 calibre from Hublot themselves, co-developed with La Joux-Perret. The dial is a mixture of black and gold while the hands are gold-plated with SuperLuminova coating. On the 9 o’clock is the foudroyante or split-second sub-dial. Only 500 of this tough yet elegant watch will be made. $TBA.
