Sporty watches need not be complicated nor convoluted. Hamilton shows that with their latest offering unveiled in Baselworld 2014. The Hamilton Pan Europ Sport is a modern interpretation of the classic model, with a simple twist. It starts with the rounded case that’s 42mm wide, holding a dial that’s available in blue or in gray. The watchface has a super clean appearance, with the simple indices and a three-hand format. Those hands are coated with SuperLuminova for visibility in dimly-lit conditions. For even better legibility, the Pan Europ Sport has a reflective ring by the edge of the dial. A numbered bezel with an aluminum ring completes the gorgeous front. Hidden underneath the dial is a Hamilton H30 movement, based on the ETA Powermatic with 21 jewels and an 80-hour power reserve. It has a day and date complication that’s clearly visible by the 3 o’clock position. A black leather strap or a textile version with a steel buckle is available. $1,095+.
