Gagarin Tourbillon Watch

To celebrate the 50th anniversary of Yuri Gagarin’s historic journey into space, Bernhard Lederer a Swiss watch-maker has designed the Gagarin Tourbillon Watch. Unlike most mechanical timepieces, its tourbillon doesn’t stay in one place. Instead, it orbits around the watch dial, which bears the names of places and cities Gagarin passed in his Vostok-1 spacecraft back in 1961. It is powered by a mechanical manual winding movement with a power reserve of approximately 80 hours. It’s housed in a Platinum 950 case that is shielded by a sapphire crystal and is is strapped on black hand-stitched alligator strap with platinum tang buckle. Limited to 50 pieces only.
