Audemars Piguet Millenary MC12 Tourbillon

On the rare occasion when the galaxies are aligned and the elements of the Earth are in harmony, a partnership of superpowers results in a superlative timepiece. Supercar makers Maserati developed their ultra-fast pony, the MC12 and they loved it so much, they lent the name to Audemars Piguet. The result is the Millenary MC12 Tourbillon Chronograph, a watch that’s so unique that only 150 pieces were ever created. The watch features mechanics that would rival the Maserati’s engine, with a Calibre 2884 movement and a tourbillon chronograph plus a tachymeter activated by a monopusher. Everything is in full display under the sapphire crystal, front and back. The mainplate of the watch is made of carbon – exotic and very difficult to manufacture at this level but AP pulls it off excellently. The platinum, oval case is 47 mm wide. It’s a race to get this rare find, but you’ll surely love this watch as much, maybe more, than the car itself. ~$322,000.
